If our muddy boots and sleepy eyes didn’t give it away: It’s calving season on the farm!!
Our first calf kicked things off with a bang. He arrived earlier than we predicted, right at 4:00 a.m. on March 9 …
… smack dab in the middle of a spring blizzard. 🌨️😲
If you’re reading this and thinking: Hold up, did you say spring blizzard?
Yep – you read that right. Snow in March and April is a thing, and Iowa winters can be loooong.
Which is why I love this time of year so much. Because after six months of living in the cold, there’s something special about the first signs of spring.
The first calf being born!
Seeing the first patch of green grass peeking through the ice.
Breathing in the smell of that first spring rain.
The first time you can crack open your window without freezing to death! 😅
Our New Beginnings collection is all that new spring life and hope and beauty wrapped in a fragrance.
It has top notes of apple, peach, and pear combined with middle notes of jasmine and lily, rounded out with a base of musk and woods. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

PS - I am happy to report that our first calf – the blizzard baby! – and his mama are both healthy, thriving, and doing wonderfully.
